FULL DETAILS ON MY FB PAGE. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT ME ON 07776761289. IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR DOG THIS PACK WALK WILL HELP YOU A LOT AS YOU WILL LEARN SKILLS THAT WILL KEEP YOUR DOG CALM. A CALM HANDLER EQUALS A CALM DOG

Once a month we hold a pack walk for naughty and reactive dogs. This is hold on  a Sunday on the Beacon Nature reserve and there are two of us with a combined experience of 57 years dealing with this kind of dogs. The pack walk is for the “midnight walkers” or people who cross over the road when you see another dog coming towards you. Everyone will be in the same position , nervous , anxious and thinking “why am i here”.

You do not have anything to worry about anything as saftey is a priority and during the walk the two of us will help you overcome your anxiety and will keep you in a calm state. If the owner is calm the dog will be calm, if the dog is calm you will be calm. Having a reactive, naughty and/or aggressive dog is a very stressful experience. These sorts of behaviours require a lot more intense training to correct; they do not resolve on their own. ‘Aggressive’ and ‘reactive’ can be confusing descriptors for your dog and people might label your dog this way interchangeably. You know your dog better than anyone, and even you can maybe see that both descriptors fit, at least in certain circumstances.

WITHIN AN HOUR ALL YOUR DOGS WILL BE A LOT CALMER AND WILL BE SITTING NEXT TO EACH OTHER WITH NO DRAMS AT ALL

But hope is not lost:

  • Aggressive and reactive dogs CAN be trained, and tamed. We will show you techniques that will help you keepcalm, suggest different use of tools to stop pulling and advise on diets etc. We are there to help you and your dog to become a team so we encourage you to ask as many questions as you want
  • We are uniquely qualified in dog obedience and behaviour modification techniques. Our expertise, patience and resilience can help turn your “problem dog” into a pet you can once again enjoy and take pride in calling your own. Together we have been doing this for 57 years and have helped 10,00.s of thousands of dogs
  • The cost for the pack walk is just £20 and its a 09:30 for a 10:00am start . I will post details on my FB page with directions but please feel free to call me should you have any questions. Do not be shy as we have dogs from little westies up to mastiffs

I have a great deal of experience in resolving aggression and reactive behaviours in dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds. To help owners effectively and quickly, I organise pack walks once a month throughout the year on the Beacon Nature Reserve. Full details are posted with directions on my FB page. The cost of the walk is just £20 and its ran by two of us with over 57 years of experience and have worked with 10,000,s of dogs so I think we have seen most things. The pack walk is hold on a Sunday each month at a cost of just £20. We will advise you on using the correct equipment to stop pulling, diet and will try and answer any questions you may have. The pack walk is held  on a Sunday from 09:30 to 12:00.

Everyone attending will have the same mindset nervous , anxious and thinking “what am I doing here” but by the end of the walk you and your dog will be in a much better place

By the end of the walk you will have learnt skills that will keep you calm and also keep your dog calm.

WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?

For owners who know things could be better…

These classes are designed for aggressive and/or reactive dogs.

If your dog:

Barks, lunges, growls, bites or spins when they see other dogs on lead then this is the ideal class for you.

You and your dog will learn how to relax on walks and your dog will learn to look to you for guidance on what they should be doing.

The class is not suitable for children though I encourage you to bring your child and if it is safe, we will allow your child to handle your dog BUT we always ensure safety is paramount.

TRAINING OVERVIEW

Training lessons every week for three weeks for 3 hours at the training venue

Each week we will provide practical demonstrations and coach you in how to teach your dog’s using the methods to keep both you and your dog calm. You will get the opportunity to practice with your own dog around other dogs, with our trainers at hand, to reinforce the training methods and guide you through what to do when you see dogs approaching.

You will be part of a group of like-minded owners in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere with as much support as you need.

All training and exercises will be done outside to mirror real life walks as closely as so please wrap up warm! On the final week we do a pack walk through the local nature reserve to cement things in place before you take everything you’ve learned away with you.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

We can train your dogs as best we can, but YOU are the one in charge of this relationship and its ongoing strength. When it comes to behaviour modification, success is dependent on the amount of time and commitment you can put into your dog’s training, and whether they are in the right environment for progress. There are many factors to take into consideration when working on improving behaviour problems.

  • Behaviour modification can take many months. You may have to consider a change in your daily routine to help your dog.
  • Ultimately the plan is down to you. We can give you the tools and show you what to do but you are implementing the plan.
  • You may have to change or carefully manage your dog’s environment to ensure improvements.
  • You will need to be consistent in your delivery of the behaviour modification programme.

This is a team effort and provided everyone does their part, we have incredibly high success rates.
