Keeping Your Dog Fit and Healthy

Did You Know That off-Leading Walking Encourages Lots of Running Around
Making Your Dog Fitter and Healthier?
  • Working long hours?
  • Have a demanding social life?
  • Travelling often?
  • Not physically up to walking your dog?
  • Don’t want to walk in bad weather or pick up your dog’s waste in the park?
Then we are here for you – we take away the worry of having to dedicate lots of time with your dog, while also keeping your pet happy and healthy.

Not Just a Walk but a Great Dog Advantage!

Just £12 or £30 for 3 Advantages in a Week

The health and wellbeing of your dog highly depends on them getting their daily dose of exercise and fresh air. By using Dog Harmony’s walking service, you give your pet the chance to get out and about so they can explore, be stimulated, burn off energy, enjoy new smells and sights, and play with their other canine friends.

Our days are fun, the dogs enjoy themselves and return home exercised, tired and happy.

Going the Extra Mile to Offer What Your Dog Needs

Choosing the right dog walking service or doggy day care centre (for just £20 a day) your pet will be picked up, taken on an advantage walk with the canine gang and then spend the rest of the day with me. Returned at the end of the day (at a time that suits you) is important. Dogs come in all shapes, sizes and ages and you need to be assured that the people looking after your dog understand what they are doing. We go the extra mile to ensure your dog has fun, but is also kept safe while with us.

Why Dog Harmony’s Dog Walking Service?

Choosing us to take your four-legged friend out for a walk means:
  • Free Pick-up & Delivery  Saving you time and money, as you don’t have to come to the depot to drop the dog. Wet and dirty dogs will be towelled dry before delivering them back to your home.
  • Bespoke Service - Once on the advantage walk, we plan the day based on the age and size of your dog (young, old, large or small) to ensure that there is no conflict between the gang.
  • Varied Dog Walks – Each full or half day is planned to include walking, play and rest in a fun, safe and social environment.
  • Off-Site Dog Walks  - Included in our half-day package is a one and a half hour off-site walk in some of the gang's favourite places. On our full doggy day care package, the dogs may go out twice a day or spend the rest of the day with me.
*For the first couple of walks, your pet will be carefully managed and kept on a lead to ensure the recall is good and that your pet is social with the rest of the mob.*

Doggy Day Care

What to Expect from My Doggy Day Care and Boarding Service?

Here at Dog Harmony, opening hours are from 7am with flexible closing. For regular customers, I can arrange to pick up and bring back their dogs to their home. This is ideal if you are going out for the day and are short of time. I offer doggy day care seven days a week with an opening time of 08:30am on weekends and bank holidays.

Your pet dog will be with me in my home and have a couple of walks a day with my own dogs. Depending on the day of the week, he may also join me on the adventure walks so you can expect a contented and tired dog at the end of the day.

Doggy day care costs just £20 and pets must have up-to-date vaccinations.

How Much Exercise Will My Dog Get?

If it’s a dog adventure day, your pet may be either on the beach in Formby, Ainsdale or walking along the Leeds/Liverpool canal with 3-5 other dogs. Any other day, the walks are usually on the Beacon Country Park. I also have a large, enclosed and secure back garden. In summer, your dog can play in the garden or on a hot day just lay in the shade. Fresh water is always available.

I prefer exercising the dogs off their leads if they have a reliable call. Otherwise, I keep them on the lead until they are used to me.

Do I Board or Provide Doggy Day Care for All Dogs?

Unfortunately, no.

An uncontrollable, unsocialised and threatening dog wouldn't be able to stay. In accordance with the LICENSING CONDITIONS FOR HOME BOARDING DOGS in West Lancashire, I can't accept dogs registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and dog hybrids registered under the Dangerous Wild Animal Act 1976.
Does My Dog Need to Be Vaccinated?

Yes, all dogs require mandatory vaccinations.

Do I Need to Give a Deposit?

As I only board a maximum of one dog, I will need a 50% deposit (non-refundable) when securing a reservation for new clients.

What If My Dog Gets Ill whilst I'm Away?

If, for any reason your dog becomes unwell, I will contact his veterinarian (if available and located within a 5-mile radius). Otherwise, and according to the West Lancashire Borough Council Licensing Conditions, I will call my regular registered veterinary practice (details below), which is located 7 minutes away from my house, and will contact you immediately.
